…and spend a few minutes to brag.
This evening I stopped by Best Buy to pick up some ink cartridges and paper. As I approached the door I noticed close to a dozen tents lining the sidewalk. It turns out there were people camping to purchase the PS3. I can’t recall when it actually comes out, nor do I really care all that much.
What it did make me think of is the fact that a year ago a group of us were enjoying the launch of a superior console whilst basking in the glory of the California sun, instead of being huddled up in the Minnesota cold waiting for an over-priced piece of Sony equipment.
EDITORIAL NOTE: I then was humbled when I remembered that Andrew and I had once attempted to camp outside (in the cold) of Ikea to be one of 100 people to get a free chair. Who’s foolish now?
SECOND EDITORIAL NOTE: It’s worth mentioning, ironically enough, that Sarah and I ended up buying two of those chairs over a year later.
Anyways. Enough of this babble…
